Emotional abuse and physical violence impacts millions of Americans every year. According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, twenty people per minute experience physical violence. This includes men as well as women, although statistics show that more women than men are victims of abuse.
In support of women with children who've experienced abuse and are living in domestic abuse shelters for safety reasons, Red Rose Ministry offers a gift-in-kind program that provides personal hygiene products that meets their everyday, basic needs. Products include: body soaps, lotions, shampoos and conditioner for women and children, as well as, tooth brushes and baby products like pampers and baby wipes.
"I'll never forget what it felt like being in need for basic necessities when I moved out of my house and left the man that abused me. One would never think that something like a bottle of soap was so valuable," says Sabrina Evans, president and founder of Red Rose Ministry.
